So what's the general vibe on switching to Linux from Windows 11? I'm tired of my PC feeling faster or slower depending on the week and all these "features" Microsoft wants people to care about. I generally use my PC for gaming, watching stuff via browser, and simple photo editing.

Thoughts so far: New ATB system is snappy. I have some gripes with the dialogue feeling like it needs to explain EVERY LITTLE THING you interact with. Like thank you, I know I found Door 202 because it was on the UI before I selected it. Otherwise the music is slammin' and the combat is fun.

Even as an all digital gamer, I bought a PS5 specifically for the Blu-ray drive. I have an anime, show, & movie collection because streaming movies and shows annoys me. Can't stand constant buffering, the quality degradation, and it's cheaper than subscriptions.

Every anime fan should have at least one Blu-ray player. 4K UHD Blu-ray if you can swing it, consoles and PC’s with disc drives count, just get something that will playback discs. If you’re younger and grew up on streaming, please just listen to old people on this one thing: Get a Blu-ray player.
