okay i need to log off this app, I'm just looking up old fights and laughing at people, and that is not how I want to spend these last remaining decades on this planet.

...but it's kinda funny tho

This idiot has been diagnosed with stress b/c my stepsons moved into their own apartment and we started renovated their old rooms.

Vet recommendation: a liquor box in front of a sunny window.

(it worked lol)

We are getting close to @canconsffh.bsky.social and I am taking a moment to say that I have the best crew anyone could ever ask for. Ever. Lemme go on for a bit. You need to know how amazing they are, and they deserve it to be seen.

Thread (read all the posts) and quite true. Just ASK animal-related groups that are local: "I'm struggling, do you know of any pet food banks/options around?" because they usually have contacts and might run one themselves.
kristadb1.bsky.social
Gentle reminder: I am seeing more "I cannot afford pet food" posts & if you might face this in the near future/now, I recommend checking your local area's subreddit and posting if anyone knows of local programs for pet food. Many areas have small under-the-radar charities that give out pet food.

And I know folks will be "helpful" and immediately suggest the food bank, but *I know* food banks have a lot of city-to-city rules, and what one place does another does not.

So... seriously. Local subreddit. If you have a vet office, ask them, too. You might be surprised.

"Google it" often doesn't work because these are so often small groups, running off facebook donations. That's why I always recommend your local subreddit - they know everyone.

For example, there is a charity out of Nova Scotia that is helping seniors access free pet food *across Canada* (My Grandfather's Cat). Locally to me, there's a couple tiny charities that are helping folks with bags of pet food when in tight places, etc.

OH YES

Promise you will tag me on *so many* photos okay?

Taking the train across Canada in one of the luxury booths is like a dream of mine. To the point that I have considered trying to figure out how to justify it on my taxes...

Heavy sobbing trying to put back together a half played campaign game that has "destroy" protocols (we just used stickers it even still omg)
Half a table covered in game stuff

Ok. It's time to open the Gloomhaven box.
A massive gaming box. Like, it's huge.

And @kristadb1.bsky.social Trouble Wore Red joins @skyladawn.ca 's Waverly Jones series in giving me a powerful need for veg based pub food.

@sjgochenour.bsky.social inspires much cheese consumption, famously, but there's also a rustic bread undercurrent.

The old light fixture just fell from the ceiling so anyway excuse me while I wait for my heart rate to return to normal

It's always a little fun/odd when someone is melting down about how they don't have the privilege they're used to having, and they're claiming this is a symptom of the world being against them specifically, and like, their state of being "oppressed" is still so wildly privileged that it boggles.

ok putting "We're all thieves of somebody's future" in my purse for when I'm waiting somewhere, going to pull out the London book (it's a small font, so I'll need to use a ruler + heavy lights to read it), and I'll go through my Kobo for a fiction book I own to read next too.
kristadb1.bsky.social
Fiction tho? Lol nope. How dare you expect me to do anything but read words 🤣🤣
kristadb1.bsky.social
It's honestly my favourite way to read non fiction lol
kristadb1.bsky.social
I'll take forever to read it bc I'll be taking copious research notes 🤣
kristadb1.bsky.social
My only hesitation with that one is that it's absolutely going to be "homework" which is fine, but that is a different kind of reading. But then again, maybe it'll be nice to do a different kind of reading 🤔
