What does fascinate me is that the Irish presidential election was an example of meticulous raking through the pasts of every candidate no matter how spotless seeming and Maria Steen was going to run with her background in "Mysterious Organisation"
speaking of signwriting my brother's mate went to work in the horrors one day and accidentally painted "fright" instead of "freight" up the back of a lorry trailer, I imagine the guy who has to haul fright around is quite busy this time of year

Taoiseach full of boiling piss
The Taoiseach is not coming to Dublin Castle for the official declaration of Catherine Connolly's victory in the presidential election.

Whether intended or not, it's going to look very confrontational for the head of government NOT to be there to congratulate the new head of state

Remember the feeling pride and self assurance when I found out the CIA used the songs of AC/DC as psychological warfare, they could never break me
George Bush Senior invading Panama:
The prick neighbours are being pricks again so time to blast out some metal that I'm sure they'll hate
Reminder that you can count on one hand the number of British soldiers jailed for murdrering northern civilians, all served less than 5 years and were admitted back into the British army, the only NATO force which allows this
Most people in NI are really not surprised by the Soldier F outcome - but this was no show trial or witch hunt. The judge excoriated the soldiers' conduct, but because of a passing of time caused by extreme state failings, could not convict. That is the scandal. These headlines are grotesque:
