I love furry art, whether it's a huge complex piece that took a pro artist months, or a ref sheet that someone fill bucketed in MSPaint based off free use lineart, or anything in between. Because all that stuff was made by someone to express something. There's a sincerity to it that's rare in 2025

fandoms can be creatively top-down. creators and fans are often starkly separated. I love seeing people come up w ideas for their own characters, stories, artworks, music, etc, and engage collaborators and commission artists to do so. I love how furry brings us together to share and celebrate that

i love how furry motivates people who wouldn't see themselves as "artists" or "creators" to exercise their creativity and self-expression. art is an intrinsic human pursuit, but capitalism makes it something ppl can mostly just consume. people have to sell art, just to make enough time to make art

Disabled people should be allowed to get married without losing our healthcare. We shouldn’t have to choose between weddings and staying alive. In 2025 we still have no marriage rights or property rights. We never have, and it’s total shit. Fuck Eugenics, we deserve so much better.

being succinct is probably the move too. i hate how with doctors you've gotta be "not too vague but not too high detail" or else they immediately decide you're a piece of shit who doesn't deserve help

i see wearing an N95 as an act of strength, resilience, and rejection of peer pressure. i am trusting my lived experience, my education in microbiology, and the scientific consensus. not vibes-based groupthinkers who would lead me to my death and then watch me die while laughing that i deserved it

sucks how little it took to get most of general society, and far too many healthcare workers, to embrace eugenics while not even knowing that it's eugenics. and they get very angry if you call the eugenics what it is. but they see a mask as a sign of weakness and think we should all be left to die

I mean like, looking into someone's eyes and seeing clearly that they are not hearing/ seeing you as you talk. i don't even think it's conscious/ voluntary. Before COVID this only ever happened on rare occasions w overtly transphobic healthcare professionals. now w the N95 it's guaranteed every time

its funny how i always get "why are you wearing a mask?", then explain that the last time i got COVID it made my asthma so bad i could barely walk and i had sleep apnea for 6 months bc the asthma and sinus swelling would kick on in my sleep and suffocate me, and they never register my words at all

guhgghgghh i had to go to the dentist and it was one of those open floor plan places, no HEPA filtration, someone audibly coughing their head off somewhere in there the whole time, really hope i don't get COVID because i don't have any meaningful amount of sick time yet
