You, a simpleton: Jürgen Klopp is the obvious choice for the USMNT

Me, a wise man: there is another. Bring him home.

I don't think of myself as the dumbest hockey fan out there, but if I can reliably predict the Canes' puck movements, there's 0% chance the paid professional coaches and players with the other team can't.
I’m pretty sure Erik Cole could design a better power play than whatever Daniels has been doing.

VLADDY JR IS THE FIRST PERSON IN A LEAFS JERSEY TO WIN A GAME SEVEN IN OVER 20 YEARS
Judging from the times I've been to games out there plus some Internet encounters, there's a stridency to Seattle sports fan culture, win or lose, that I find pretty hard to take.
Go Jays, the alternative is the West Coast YankeeSox and I ain't rooting for that.
Oh no. Ohhhhh nooooooo.
Seattle proceeds to its 50th season next year without a pennant to its name.

The problem with modern bullpen management and Game Seven bullpen management is the more guys you shuffle out of the pen, the greater chance you wind up calling on the guy who is about to have the shittiest night of his life.

The third Game 7 homer EVER in the 7th inning or later that turned a deficit into a lead. The others:

Hal Smith, Pirates, 1960 WS
Howie Kendrick, Nats, 2019 WS

It's super impolite to refer to @nikolaidenmark.bsky.social's mom as a "what" rather than "who."
In the DC area, of what's on the sign I'd say laundry detergent is the item that keeps walking out -- notorious street market in the District for stolen Tide in particular, which I would call an insane assertion if I hadn't walked by guys selling it laid out on the sidewalk in broad daylight.
Right call, he leapt into the air to obstruct the ball.

I'm hearing "Jamie Wetsdale" in the Petrino voice against my will.
The existence of Jamie Drysdale suggests the fairly disturbing existence of a Jamie Wetsdale
Knowing absolutely nothing about their implementation: even if they do host their own services in whatever region, it's pretty rare that SaaS vendors don't have a stack of their own vendor dependencies, and if a critical one turns out to have a single point of failure in us-east-1 you're boned.
TBH they've mostly been complimentary of him after leaving — he did the job and left them in good shape structurally. They're obnoxious locally but realistic about where they sit vs. a Power 2 opening; they've made their bones on transfers forever so they can't get but so heated about that either.
Alternately detached and pissed off was how the people I talked to scanned his sideline demeanor in person in Harrisonburg.
Neutral to disliked is the vibe I've gotten from JMU folks.
