I see artists trade their patreon and ko-fi links all the time and it seems sometimes like it's only other artists and a handful of regular followers that pass those round.

It really does help. Previous clients saying on comm ads they had a good experience also helps a lot too.

The Mexican government just approved laws that let them spy what you spend money on and where you're receiving money from online. This is after them undoing any transparency about where the government spends their funds on, they want to know all about citizens while they live in secrecy, criminals.

one thing it seems gamedev industry hasn't mature as well as other medium, like movies for example, is assuming players don't want to re-experience older entertainment just because there's a new remake of something. frvr.com/blog/capcom...
