There's gotta be a hilarious movie in here somehow.

"Pirro's Gotta Have It"

Logline: Drunk and delusional ideologue returns to her roots as a prosecutor after the safety of fringe TV commentating, only to discover the harsh reality of a still fact-based grand jury system.

Anchorman v The Verdict
Jeanine Pirro’s office tried three times to indict a woman on bogus felony charges of assaulting an ICE agent. A DC grand jury turned her down each time. So Pirro brought a misdemeanor charge instead. And now a trial jury has acquitted her of that. www.huffpost.com/entry/sidney...
Jeanine Pirro Strikes Out Yet Again In Federal Court
Prosecutor Jeanine Pirro failed to secure a felony indictment against the woman three times, then lost a jury trial on a misdemeanor charge. Ouch.

Alex, I'll take "Things that will bite Gavin Newsom in the face in the primary" for $200.
CA governor Gavin Newsom vetoed both of the major AI bills on his desk that Silicon Valley meaningfully opposed—one making it illegal for bosses to use AI to fire workers with no oversight, one requiring chatbot sellers to ensure their products do not harm children before marketing to them.
Silicon Valley's capture of our political institutions is all but complete
The tech lobby kills off two key California AI bills, and why it matters. Plus: How Sam Altman played Hollywood with Sora 2, organized mass social media deletions, and more.

I’d be so afraid of messing it up that even if I did manage a compliment correctly, I’d be so awkward about it that it would be weird. So I just don’t.

That said, I’m sure whatever your next hair move ends up being will be splendid

[ducks]
None of those button work tho
Haha. IMDb pro… I can send a screenshot if you’re interested
No. From their IMDB it looks like they have 4 films that haven't been made... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Or perhaps someone should ask him if the "threats" are in the room with us now?
My producing partner and I have been doing a bunch of meetings over the past few months. Pitches/generals etc. Something I'm noticing is when we're relaxed and a little vulnerable, folks have been leaning in, and when we're formal/tight, they don't as much.

Thought that was interesting... YMMV
I keep thinking about photos of collaborators after the war. People don't forget some things easy... Before this is all said and done, there will be a reckoning.
Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.
Some weirdo on Twitter has been absolutely melting down for like 36 straight hours because I posted:

When this is over, do not forget what ICE did, and what ICE is. And do not make room for them in society. Make sure they know that they are, and will continue to be, reviled and beneath contempt.
I struggle with this a bit with him. Because not only are his films filled with sparkling talent in front of the camera (such as Keaton) but he’s a master at blocking, staging and understated oners. There’s a lot there worth studying, but…
This is so fucking insane.

If you wrote this in a movie/TV show you'd get notes back that the crash has to be at least partly her fault or else the ICE goons are just too cartoonishly villainous to be believable.
ICE GOONS crash into car and then point weapons to kidnap man.
When they don't give it to that befuddled buffoon, I'm hanging our Norwegian flag in front of our building. 🇳🇴

This is what I've been saying for MONTHS!
exasperation can be an effective way to disguise exposition

Werner Herzog has slammed the use of AI in new cinematic releases, saying that films that make use of the technology “look completely dead.”

“There are stories, but they have no soul. They are empty and soulless.”

Amen to that!

Please - stop doing the screenshot no link thing on Bluesky. This platform does not punish you for posting a URL. You picked up the habit from Meta apps? Stop doing Mark Z's bidding. Link ESPECIALLY to authors, reporters, bloggers, etc. where you quote the work.
He figures out who ordered his office killed, goes to DC, and hides out in his office. Max comes in, takes his gun, then kills the guy, and gives Redford a ride to the train station and his gun back. Redford then tells the CIA guy that he's told all to The NY Times, and that's that. 2/2

The Days of the Condor is weird movie.

Robert Redford goes to lunch, his whole office gets assassinated. He goes on the run, kidnaps Faye Dunaway, makes her take a nap with him, ties her up, then goes out, has a near miss with Max Von Syndow. Comes back and unties Faye, so they have sex (?). 1/2
