So if you come third in Group F and then win all the knockout games, your schedule is potentially Guadelope (Mexico) Guadelope (Mexico) > Kansas City (US) > Vancouver (Canada) > Vancouver (Canada) >Kansas City (US) > Atlanta (US) > East Rutherford (US). Well, that should be just fine for visas.

The last World Cup had 64 matches. This World Cup has 74 matches in round one to reduce 48 teams to 32 teams - with almost no jeopardy for top seeds (as 8/12 3rd placed teams go through) - before 31 knockout matches are played for the World Cup. (It is quite close to a second qualification round)

Very impressed BBC sport site correctly identified England's 5-0 win as a thrashing, as opposed to a 4-0 thumping.

A small bottle of Durex lube was £12 but sometimes the line is just too obvious.

The good news is that I didn't swear when looking at prices in the Co-op today. The bad news is that I audibly winced.

TIL: World Champion Luke Littler just entered the World Youth Darts championship and lost to a girl*.

I love that every now and then we find historical pieces that remind us that we've always been shitposting.

Job occupations, from an 1881 census. Every one of these sounds like something a sorely provoked Captain Haddock would should at someone in times of heavy stress.

It was. Seemed like a technical marvel that they have the results printed in a paper you could buy on the way home!

The Portsmouth News used to have a special Sports Mail edition on Saturdays where the masthead had a sailor, but they had three versions of his face depending on whether Portsmouth had won, lost or drawn.

I know seat forecasters are pretty much useless in this scenario, but Electoral Calculus has a Reform majority government, and everything that entails, on TWENTY-SEVEN PERCENT of the vote.

And "If your guests are talking about Monsoon and Ventura's in-ring career when discussing them as non wrestlers, does Ole Anderson's booking run count towards his candidacy as a wrestler?"

I have so many questions. Like "If Anderson/Blanchard, but only when with Dillon" is on the ballot, should Ellering be in with Hawk/Animal - surely the first 18 months in WWF isn't what put them over the top?

My girlfriend has her dad's ashes in an urn on the mantelpiece. Lately I've started picking it up and doing a, quite frankly, incredible impression of Paul Bearer from WWF in the mirror. If she caught me, I'd be dumped, but it's SUCH a good impression.

Given that Kawada/Taue were later put on the ballot, does that mean that the people in 1997 who voted Kawada in were meant to know they weren't allowed to count any tag matches he did?
johnlister.bsky.social
The "only count the tag run/only count the tag run with a specific manager" is such a mess. Does that mean I don't take account of War Games for Anderson/Blanchard w/Dillon because it wasn't a tag match?

It should be done entirely as individual candidates, taking into account their entire career.

Just seen I Swear and the Wikipedia plot summary says it covers the making of the John's Not Mad TV show, but it wasn't in the version I saw. Was this a late edit?

Now realising if I was a scriptwriter, I'd definitely write "threxterminate" to save time typing.
