The last World Cup had 64 matches. This World Cup has 74 matches in round one to reduce 48 teams to 32 teams - with almost no jeopardy for top seeds (as 8/12 3rd placed teams go through) - before 31 knockout matches are played for the World Cup. (It is quite close to a second qualification round)

Given that Kawada/Taue were later put on the ballot, does that mean that the people in 1997 who voted Kawada in were meant to know they weren't allowed to count any tag matches he did?

The "only count the tag run/only count the tag run with a specific manager" is such a mess. Does that mean I don't take account of War Games for Anderson/Blanchard w/Dillon because it wasn't a tag match?

It should be done entirely as individual candidates, taking into account their entire career.
