Former child, potential corpse/immortal. I could procrastinate during an air crash. There's going to be a lot of old Dr Who and Blake's 7 and all that here. Occasional cats and alt-pop.

"We've burnt most B&W #DrWho episodes coz nobody will ever want to watch those again but we kept one example of #EnemyOfTheWorld"
...
"The big budget all action one with extended location filming and a hovercraft and a helicopter and a shootout, not the corridors and potato peeling one, right?"
Star Wars prequel "...right?" meme but it's Doctor Who and the Enemy of the World director learning the original fate of 5 of its 6 episodes

Also 'Happy Birthday' is an absolute funereal dirge of a tune. When it was unavailable due to copyright disputes the fake replacements they had to come up with for sitcoms and soaps were usually upgrades.

Introduce yourself using only one food you refuse to eat, one movie you'll never watch again and one song you can't stand.

Shellfish. Ugh. Snot & glop.

Short Circuit - first date nightmare.

Passengers - Elton John. Even thinking of this lurching abomination of a song makes me feel angry and sick.

Laura Fraser of course went on to star in one of the century's most impactful dramas as well as Breaking Bad.

That'll be £6000 please. Terrance can flesh it out, I'm off to LA.

Good point that nobody in 1982 sat down to ep 1 thinking at last the trilogy is concluding. I'd got hooked on the repeats in the wilderness months but for 8yo me this was a completely fresh beginning of the All New Dr Who Show.
Also unexpectedly obsessed with the way you both say "Logopalus".

It'd be so hard to explain to anyone pre 90s that we're now used to waiting 18+ months for new 7 episodes of any popular series. As you say, the ability to make lots of (non soap) drama quickly has simply gone. They knew they'd need a production line in the 50s then forgot why.

The multi-camera drama has disappeared forever: an entire medium, an entire *form of art*, has just gone. Thirty years ago. Unheralded, unnoticed. It’s like the novel disappearing. Or watercolours vanishing. It was cultural vandalism, by oversight. 19/

Agreed to postpone my day off tomorrow because everything was going to shit on Friday and I'm probably the only person who can diagnose the causes for the people who need to fix it all. Not sure if hero or schmuck.

He is watching over you (and maybe exempt from cookie regulations, as a deity)

I know windows work out more expensive than plain wall per m² so developers often look for excuses to minimise them (recently fell down a rabbit hole reading about windows getting smaller on new UK houses)

Still at least the CSO range comes with a bit more colour.

Slow Horses I love you but nobody has ever stood in their blue kitchen wearing a blue shirt and blue jumper on their blue lino then walked into their blue living room etc etc #BanColourGrading

I think Post-Eurostars Tinitus is a distinct and powerful condition.

My house is a semi detached 2 storey, and the following houses on the same side going down the hill are all bungalows, so they put big extra windows on our side rooms because there's a nice view of trees etc, but that's unusual
quiteamess.bsky.social
Good point. Maybe it's because our houses tend to be close together and there's the sense that you'll only get a view of a wall anyway, or worse someone else's window looking in on you at short range.

Absolutely, whatever "it" is, he's got it.

At the time I assumed it was an adaptation of a graphic novel, the structure is like a series of escape room puzzels. I think it's more enjoyable in hindsight (aside from other factors) now it doesn't have the burden of Why Aren't You Just Making Doctor Who Yourselves.

A shadow realm below London populated by the quirky/gothic character actors who'd have been a dream cast list for #DoctorWho Season 32 in 1996, one in particular seems an obvious Doctor-to-be. Also, Peter Capaldi! It's #Neverwhere
