The CFPB is one of the most staunch financial watchdogs for the American people.

The agency has returned at least $20B to the victims of financial fraud and abuse since 2011.

Feels quaint, almost cliché, to say this about a Trump action, but just for the record:

This is all illegal, the President can't simply disregard the laws passed and agencies created by Congress, and both Vought & Trump would be impeached if the Constitution or the rule of law mattered to the GOP.

Trump kills funding previously appropriated by Congress for one of the most important infrastructure projects in the country because it involves NY and NJ, while Republicans ask for Dem votes on future government funding while refusing to talk to Dems about it.

This is why it’s impossible to negotiate with Republican leadership in Congress. Once you reach an agreement with them and things pass, the Trump admin just flushes that agreement down the toilet and Republicans who made the deal remain silent. bsky.app/profile/atru...
