As if they keep writing all these headlines - and our membership numbers and polling just keeps shooting up. 🚀

Polanski is talking nonsense about wealth taxes. Greens who want to save the world by destroying britain

The establishment will certainly attack Zack Polanski. Is already attacking him, in fact. It's proof he's making a real impact. Labour certainly won't beat Reform on current showing, and strategic support for wrong people against wronger people doesn't get us right people. So I vote Green. 🍀

Love this (I have a weakness for pieces with bullet points), by @corinnaboard.bsky.social, in the new issue of @perversemag.bsky.social! #cacti

"I visit the cacti in the Princess of Wales Conservatory at Kew. I stay there for a long time and stand very still. The air around me prickles."
Screen shot of this piece from Perverse poetry mag:

Corinna Board

Cacti

A saguaro cactus can live for over 150 years and reach heights of up to 60 feet.

In a scene from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, the Man With No Name is standing next to a saguaro cactus, smoking a cigarillo.

I am always drawn to the bad guy. This is why I need thorns.

A human body is 60% water. A cactus is 90% water.

When Diego Rivera painted Landscape with Cacti (1931), he anthropomorphised the cacti. One of them appears to have breasts.

My French ex gave me a cactus. I gave it to a co-worker for her birthday, and she pretended to be grateful.

In 1967, Jacques Dutronc sang dans leurs coeurs, il y a des cactus on live TV.

I visit the cacti in the Princess of Wales Conservatory at Kew. I stay there for a long time and stand very still. The air around me prickles.

I am convinced I was a cactus in a previous life.

Once every 100 years, I flower.

The future is such an enigma. But I hope and believe you're wrong. Trusting Labour to fight for things they've proved they won't fight for - that's what improves prospects for Reform, imh. Support for the Greens is rising much, much faster than support for Reform right now.

People knew how to write headlines, once upon a time.

Tell children today that, they won't believe you.
Newspaper website headline: "Blind bisexual goose named Thomas who spent six years in a love triangle with two swans and helped raise 68 babies dies at the ripe old age of 40."

No one's splitting the Labour vote more than Labour itself. I wouldn't vote Labour now, whether the Green Party existed or not. As for Corbyn, I'm afraid my geiger counter is completely unmoved.

It's time to vote for decency and equality. The only party offering that is the Greens. That's all.

I've been thinking a lot about the role of creativity in today's problematic landscape recently. What creativity means and why it matters (always, but specifically now). Thank you for this.

I'm sorry. I think you may be doomed.

How about a clandestine under-the-duvet secret relationship?

I don't think we know the answer. At least, I don't, it's not my field. The key is to get good people onboard who can engage with problems like this thoughtfully and develop effective answers. We all have different things to offer.

Such a relief. Well done, everybody! 🥳

It's now clear that the gov't are NOT proposing to repeal the Protected Landscapes duty 🙌

A huge thank you to the more than 200 charities, businesses & organisations who joined us in writing to Keir Starmer 💚

Now to focus on improving our Protected Landscapes...

Plans to weaken Protected Landscapes Duty quietly dropped
Westminster government published its list of amendments for the Planning and Infrastructure Bill and there are no proposals to weaken protections for National Parks.

there are very few things I like to watch on YouTube - for some reason the way many people present overwhelms my autistic brain. but I just watched Simon from the Hermit's Cave channel review my deck and he's got such a slow, gentle way about him, I love it www.youtube.com/watch?v=4C03... #tarotsky

We Lived Happily During the War
BY ILYA KAMINSKY
And when they bombed other people's houses, we
protested
but not enough, we opposed them but not
enough. I was
in my bed, around my bed America
was falling: invisible house by invisible house by invisible house.
I took a chair outside and watched the sun.
In the sixth month
of a disastrous reign in the house of money
in the street of money in the city of money in the country of money, our great country of money, we (forgive us)
lived happily during the war.

I think Labour is doing its all-out best to shed its votes, even without any help from the Green Party. Zack Polansky is showing us that decency and hope aren't dead.

After a longish frustrating limbo stage, my brain suddenly woke up last night and started info-dumping about Draft 4. This morning I made notes on all of it. Writing agenda is 'get started!' Draft 4 could be the final one, bar proofread...maybe...🤞
