They're still talking but Kavanaugh just articulated the holding and ACB said that she's not overruling precedent, she's "tweaking" it, so we are beyond done here.

This was someone dealing with arbitration and again saying she was inundated with crap. Need an enforced word count and clerk gatekeeping but that adds difficulty and expense to arbitration

It’s not really a binary choice is it?
jennifermromig.bsky.social
For volume reasons, flawed human judgment. Was just talking to an AAA case manager who said life is miserable going through quantities of crap people are filing in arbitration — and she doesn’t get paid by the hour

I’m designing an AI and Legal Writing course for the spring - already know one assignment will be “calling out opposing counsel on AI abuse / fake cases” as that is definitely a niche it has added

Meanwhile I just read about @lexblog.bsky.social saving decades of (artisanally human crafted*) legal blogs on Typepad

*Okay some of them were just jotted off not really crafted, but lots of cumulative time and care went into that archive

Generative AI output = neither a “source” nor “data“ 🤔 I know it can be useful and certainly is important, but when it produces text that fits neither of these buckets yet is commonly perceived as both, trouble ensues
jennifermromig.bsky.social
Would you say prompts could constitute data, in that they are inputs that can be tested … although my understanding is AI outputs can’t really be replicated individually; I guess outputs from given prompt “data” could be sort of agglomerated with a margin of error for the input-output relationship

They don't give their opinion to the media

They don't criticize how SCOTUS works
