funny how impermanent the certainties of early transition are. how the things you're absolutely rock solid sure about fade into the background a few years later and become gradually unimportant to you.

I wish someone had warned me about this at the time, but it's not something you can teach

here's how you remove the AI from the latest Firefox update
Those standards are slightly lower than what you need to get through basic Air Force training.

If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.

It's been 20 years since these Tomonobu Itagaki pictures were published in the German magazine Maniac (hi @tapirfortuna.bsky.social), and since everyone is doing their Itagaki memoriams and tributes I'll make the photos public for everyone to use.
It's never really stopped except for my honeymoon, to the point we're considering emigrating there now.

My wife's friends could see the relief on our faces.
now imagining little kids getting into HoT from NJPW and doing all the interference shenanigans. (then again, isn't HoT in Japan really popular with kids?)
You can't go from near-zero to major mass civil disobedience on a dime, and we won't be able to do it with just the left either, we'll need buy-in from 40% of the population at a minimum.
They are accomplishing something, they're getting folks unused to taking action used to it. This might be needed in 1 or 3 years when election results are nullified. At that point we will need to general strike for a long-ass time.
Next month might be the last wrestling shows I ever see live if I leave the country next year- where I'm going doesn't really have pro wrestling much.
This is kinda what I'm seeing, just wondering if boots on the ground are agreeing. The Cuencanos I've talked to are concerned but not American/UK scared. I know during our honeymoon we were treated as well as we would be in a blue city in the US- prob cause we were gringas first.
Do you think that's going to make it dangerous for folks who are fleeing the US for Ecuador for their rights?

I'm concerned that the constitutional changes are going to roll back LGBTQ rights in Ecuador. Any real threat of that?

GOOD NEWS! For the first time ever, Huntington's disease has been successfully treated. A groundbreaking new miRNA treatment, AMT-130, slowed the progression of the disease by 75%. These results are likely to support the first approval of a genetic treatment for the rare neurodegenerative condition.

Beyond the costumes at No Kings, Democratic leadership may want to check the signs to understand the vibe of their base right now (hint: it’s not health care)

When I worked for a New York Times
Company regional paper, I was ordered to cover a small protest by conservatives upset about a tax increase.

We had an unspoken policy of ignoring protests, but my managing editor explained that conservatives did not protest.

So when they did, it was news.

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
Toni/Mina make such convincing lesbians.
It's more the constitutional changes that scare me. We're emigrating for safety, Ecuador has good protective laws and easy access to medical care compared to red state US, plus we were treated a lot better by Ecuadorians. Afraid the constitutional changes could wreck that.
I knew the wife of the owner of the site.
If things don't deteriorate politically, and our rights seem secure there , we plan on immigrating next year, even with a good bit of risk.
loved that market during our honeymoon!!!
