A few years ago if you'd told me the Mariners would sweep the Astros in Houston in September to all but lock down the division, or that we'd have someone hit 65 home runs, or that we'd have maybe the best starting rotation in baseball I'm not sure I would have believed it

Lot of missed opportunities, lot of unfortunate mistakes at the wrong time, but overall this year was unlike anything I've seen in the past 30 years of rooting for this team, and I really do believe that bigger and better things lie ahead

You can second guess how Dan managed this game and this series all day long, but not having Woo healthy and in the rotation to start the playoffs clearly limited his options and I don't necessarily blame him for making the decisions he did with the information he had at the time
