I’ll admit to being a sucker. I thought getting him for 9.5 would be a screaming deal and that 10 would be more likely. Hats off to management and the player.

It’s a smart deal for Lane and a good deal for the Habs. If he invests the 55 million up front in even a super conservative manner, he’ll rake in another 2.5 million/year easy, so he’s indirectly making at least 10.5-11. Meanwhile Habs protect their AAV.

I think we had something like that in my house back in the 1970’s. I don’t think it had the handle on top, but everything else about it looks familiar. I vaguely recall it had a velvety interior lining.

I hope they don’t fall into the old habit they had during the Therrien days and play up/down to the level of their competition. I don’t think it will happen, though, as Marty would go absolutely bananas.
