Sadly never fully built due to the interruption of WWII, the artist's illustration for a new terminal building at the Yeadon (Leeds/Bradford) Aerodrome looked an elegant and stylish design . It was budgeted to cost £40,000. The Municipal Aerodrome opened OTD 17 October in 1931,
A worthy winner and an example of what good quality end of life housing can and should look like. Its a great pity that more of this isn't available as an alternative to soulless commercial nursing homes or boring loneliness in a bungalow.
