You know what, we do movie prompts all the time and I enjoy them but where my real heads at, 1 like = 1 favorite heavy metal album

Rest in Peace Ace Frehley. Please enjoy this video of him being so charismatic that you can watch in real time as Gene decides to kick him out of the band.

Between this and that woman yelling at the ICE pig in New York, I understand losing faith in our leaders but I cannot fathom losing faith in the people
Wow. Sidney Reid, the DC woman just found not guilty of assaulting an FBI agent, issues a withering and gutsy statement on Trump through her attorneys.

"I feel sorry for the prosecutors really, who must be burdened by Trump's irrational and unfounded hatred for his fellow man."

It's a must-read:

There is an actual life-changing conflict between WFH being cheaper and more efficient, an entire layer of middle managers who need to have meetings to feel alive, and the commercial real estate cabal that runs all cities. It’s going to get so fucking weird.
remote work is like birth control or UBI atp where there’s overwhelming research consensus they improve quality of life for people they apply to, yet access is impeded or blocked by the ruling class because the thought of marginalized ppl having rich full lives makes steam come out their ears
2. Rolling Stone is owned by a large media conglomerate, which is ending remote work across its brands.

My home is Portland, Oregon, ~1,000 miles from the nearest office, so this marks the end of the line for me at RS.
I’m so profoundly uninterested in this season lol
The look on Goodman’s face when he turns around and sees the Ashe’s all over Dude, just the first genuine anguish Walter has ever shown, god tier
Every single time at the end of Big Lebowski when Walter is doing the eulogy and says “in accordance with what your dying wish may well have been” I weep laughing.

lol this is the shit i was talking about on sora. someone made a really antisemitic edit of a marc cuban cameo and someone was getting jake paul to say “i hate snickers” repeatedly fast enough for it to sound like the slur. those are people who have OPTED IN to letting people use their faces in slop
For @spitfirenews.com, I found that increasingly realistic AI-generated videos are being deployed to harass, smear, and create endless offensive content of influencers, whose likenesses are already readily available online. It’s happening to private figures, too.

AI-generated influencer scandals are here
Now anyone can play with the hyperrealistic likenesses of public figures.

The idea of A.I. as it is pitched at its most OTT is something that completely fits within Grant Morrison’s whole thing, but defending your use of it based on that idealized notion vs what it actually is is disappointing and frankly embarrassing.
Morrison invoking AI alike to "God" indicates a severe misunderstanding of how AI appropriates the work of thousands, including their own, and someone needs to rectify their understanding ASAP.

But also it's a severe disservice to their colleagues anyway to use it and justify it like this.

This entire article is, unsurprisingly, kicked off by Brett Kavanaugh and includes this: "A spokesperson for Kavanaugh did not return an emailed request for comment."
Oh man, I haven’t loved a Guillermo Del Toro film this much since Crimson Peak.
Adams is such a comically corrupt individual, and I mean that in the literal sense that he belongs in a comic strip. It’s like Wimpy from Popeye is the mayor of a world capital.
The scene from A New Leaf where Matthau is driving around after finding out he’s broke and saying “goodbye” to all his favorite rich slob hangouts but it’s Catturd and co doing a circuit of all the local Cheesecake Factories
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

What idiot called it the Xbox Ally and not the Steam Dreck, FOLKS
Also, no point whatsoever making posts on here about how you shouldn’t use X. I’ve encouraged people in group chats to leave but then I’m actually talking to friends and not filibustering to puff my chest
I still can’t get over the fact that all of the Young Republican Nazis look like they use bar soap for shampoo
Thousands of posts from a private Young Republican Telegram chat reveal a culture of casual racism/antisemitism, rape jokes and celebration of Hitler/Nazism.

Some of the ringleaders are below: We live in a world where 4chan types now occupy positions of real power.

Long story short, an actual Nazi doxxing ring. Enough people reported them that they went away for like 12 hours and then Elon personally brought them back. The site is dead. If you’re still on there, go lock your account right now
what even happened on the other site this time
AI adopting the Moviepass model but at about 50x the revenue/cost discrepancy per user is incredible.
'Sora cost $20 a month & subscribers can generate an unlimited number of AI videos... this costs (Sora owners) OpenAI "at least $5 per 10-second video"'.

Journalists, please ask more questions about how this tech could ever in a million years make a profit?
studio execs & major outlets claim AI is "inevitable" and poised to take over Hollywood. the reality is much different. i spoke with filmmakers, producers, and editors about how AI is actually showing up in productions – and what it still can't do:
