Keeping an eye on our planet's recent temperature trend and variability (12-month running mean). Many of the temporary peaks and dips are related to upper ocean heat anomalies in the Pacific (like ENSO).

+ Data from doi.org/10.24381/cds...
+ Climate change indicators: zacklabe.com/climate-chan...
Line graph time series of a 12-month running mean of global mean surface temperature anomalies from 1979 through September 2025. There is a long-term increasing trend and large interannual variability on this graph. Anomalies are computed relative to a 1991-2020 baseline. Blue shading is shown for below average anomalies, and red shading is shown for above average anomalies.

Will there be a record low global sea-ice maximum this year, beating the record low set just last year?

In 2024, China increased electricity production from solar and wind by 366 TWh above 2023 values.

A 1 GW nuclear plant with an 85% capacity factor, generates ~7.5 TWh / year.

In other words, China deployed new solar and wind equivalent to ~50 nuclear power plants.

No. I will not vote to allow 15 million people to lose their health insurance and watch 50,000 Americans die each year unnecessarily.

No. I will not vote to double premiums for 20 million.

Republicans must come to the table and negotiate an end to the shutdown.

This shutdown has Republicans' name written all over it.

No Kings
As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power belongs to the people.

TODAY: SCOTUS is hearing Louisiana v. Callais at the same time as the White House is running a pressure campaign to gerrymander red states.

If the Court guts Section 2 of the VRA, it will be paving the way for the GOP to further silence voters and secure illegitimate power.

I am a fierce proud science loving woke cry baby snowflake, not a Republican and it's not my fault they can't tell their left from their right. 😊

The American people deserve a public health system that puts science before politics.

That's why California and 14 other governors are joining forces to launch the Governors Public Health Alliance to protect communities and guarantee decisions are rooted in data and health.

Good to see you forming an effective Federal government, we could do with one.

To be clear the Republicans, who control Whitehouse, Congress & Senate, can break the filibuster at any time by using the nuclear option.

The reason they don't is because they want Democrats to be complicit by voting for the funding measures that includes their massive cuts.

This IS a GOP shutdown

Good for you, New York Times. Good for you, Fox. Thanks for not accepting Hegseth’s ridiculous press pledge—an effort to turn you into mouthpieces for MAGA state propaganda. A free press is not the “enemy of the people,” but—when you do your job and tell the truth—the people’s best friend.
Media including Fox News overwhelmingly reject Pentagon press policy
Fox News, along with ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN, said that the Pentagon policy violates their “core journalistic protections.”

Surprised they actually did one thing right. How rotten to the core must something be when even Newsmax thinks you've gone too far.
