Wall Street cheered the news, sending Amazon stock prices higher.

The federal government has the capacity to continue funding SNAP during a shutdown.

This is good, but when people talk about this I want to emphasize: we have not run out of money for SNAP. The money is there, it has been allotted and saved specifically for this instance. Starting Nov 1, SNAP benefits will be delayed in Georgia. This admin could send out benefits if they wanted to but they are CHOOSING not to. It’s a craven attempt to gain leverage in their fight to rip health care away from millions. I will fight this.
