The plaque honoring the law enforcement officers who responded to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, which was commissioned by Congress in 2022, remains in storage. Mike Johnson has refused to place it on the wall, as was intended. That "deed" speaks pretty loudly.

Wonder what my MAGA soybean farmer family is thinking these days. Not wondering hard enough to re-engage though. I’m sure their pastor has rationalized the suffering and the taking of the evil socialism for them. Just like all the other very “Christian” things they’ve rationalized.

If you can’t sell your soybeans because of Trump’s tariffs after Argentina stepped in and took your customers, you can take solace that the guy you voted for also just gave $20 billion of your tax dollars to the country that is bankrupting you.
