I have been using these for years for bash utilities dependent projects. These days I just try to not depend on anything outside of lang's package managers.

Take a look at devpod.sh, they work the same but via ssh plugin which is less confusing and preserves local state better.

Yes, a key combo can't function as a modifier key like ctrl is.

There's a lot of key codes they could've used instead of a key combo (like the f13 onwards) but they didn't. Maybe due to incompetence, maybe to intentionally block people from repurposing the key as a modifier.

There's a very strong argument that the failures of Democrats and liberals to halt the authoritarian takeover comes down to them spending 25 years building an ideology & media infrastructure designed to avoid accepting or even acknowledging the truth of this one FDR quote.
