a photo of charlton heston, holding a shiny cd-rom, his arm resting on top of a monitor that is showing a vague image of himself.

I had to look into this, and as far as I can tell, this is THE original treasure-hiding waterfall: Skógafoss in southern Iceland, behind which, according to legend, the Viking sorcerer Þrasi Þórólfsson hid a magical treasure chest full of gold and trinkets in the 9th or 10th century.

WHEN THERE’S TREASURE BEHIND THE WATERFALL: Oh wow. Yes, very clever! Waterfall treasure! No one’s ever done that before. Lazy jackass

WHEN THERE’S NO TREASURE BEHIND THE WATERFALL: Wow. Too stuck-up to put treasure there huh? Too much of a fucking ICONOCLAST for that? Piece of shit. FUCK you

some thoughts on it: the mixture of raw agressiveness with melancholy, the repetitive nature of the riffs and melodies, the images of cities being turned into parking lots, just so much space in the lyrics. it really captures the "this is the last moment in time we will be truly bored, forever"

in 1971 they could only dream of forcing horror upon horror into the mind of one victim at a time. modern social media correctly assessed that the answer to "do you want to see the worst 500 things we can find today" is almost always yes. but it's fine and this has had no consequences for anyone

É fundamental pensar no pós-cristianismo.
