It doesn't take much to be labeled as extreme left these days
jysexton.bsky.social
It feels like the political overton window has shifted far to the Right because the wealth class controls our media and owns our politicians.

Meanwhile, the vast, vast majority of people belong to what would now be portrayed as “the extreme Left.”

It’s a perception game and narrative control.

Nigel Farage falls through the cracks of media scrutiny. He receives the attention of someone powerful, but the scrutiny of someone powerless. It’s a case study in how fear of democratic decline makes institutions submissive which accelerates democratic decline.

🇫🇷 Macron told his cabinet that censure motions are dissolution motions. In other words, there will be elections if Lecornu is toppled. Far right & hard left have already tabled censure votes on Thurs. Socialists say they will table their own if Lecornu does not give way today when he speaks at 3pm

The original quote is not exactly that; in German it's:
"Das Ziel totalitärer Systeme ist es nicht, die Menschen von der eigenen Ideology zu überzeugen. Vielmehr sollen sie unfähig sein, eigene Überzeugungen zu entwickeln."

Which translates to:

The goal of totalitarian systems is not to convince people of their ideology. Rather, to render them incapable of developing their own convictions.

That’s why we spend so much on propaganda. Not to make you believe something but to make you believe nothing. So you do nothing.

It works.

*I suspect it has something to do with GPS jamming or similar signal disruptions.

They are constant but largely imperceptible to passengers.

You do get the occasional flight that's left circling the destination and delayed, rerouted or turned back because of it.

I was curious to see if they had changed the flight plan due to the recent drone incursions.

They haven't. And how would they?

How do you get from Finland to South or Central Europe without passing Denmark, Germany, Poland, the Baltics, Belarus, Ukraine, or Russia?

The last three are off limits.
