Earlier this year, an excavation in Rousay by @uhiarchaeology.bsky.social uncovered an expressive carved stone face. We have a similar fellow in the cathedral, so archaeologists visited today to examine them side by side!

This works for all small issues and questions and if something more substantial comes up the school policy is then to move it to email and cc in the SLT team required so that there's oversight and they're in the loop. This keeps them aware of issues & gives staff reassurance of backup if it's tricky

I'm so glad we use Seesaw, quick and easy and I have my work hours set so the email notifications only come through in that time but parents can drop messages when they have time in the evening or early morning, I have shared my work hours so that they know that & that I'll respond asap in them.

Lot of people treated a genocide of a people, sponsored by their own country, as an annoying pet issue that needed to be shelved after the killing as complete or pushed aside for other political problems. And pretended that it was just too complicated to engage with.

We also want functional pockets! I’ve spent several hours today checking donated clothing and my hand totally disappears wrist deep into men’s pockets but not women’s. No use for phones!
