There’s a very interesting book by John W Dean (of Watergate) called “Conservatives without Conscious” published 2006. Really good stuff in there about conservatives and authoritarianism. His new book in 2020 is “Authoritarian Nightmare: Trump and his Followers”. Guess I’ll buy that one too.

I have been saying this for 3 decades. Legalize, tax, and provide safe spaces for those determined to use hard stuff. Archeological discovery proves humans have been using substances for relief, party time, religion, & more for at least 30K years. Just Acknowledge this and stop wasting $$$.

The only way to deal with the "drug problem" is to legalize and regulate the drugs. Not only would that make the drugs themselves safer, it would remove the major funding component for violent gangs.
