This morning I randomly remembered that Laurie Anderson exists. From the Air is a vibe.

"Good evening.
This is your Captain.
We are about to attempt a crash landing."

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

This is the way.

My Mom saved our Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. I'm now very grateful she did.

Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world,... I feel like I can't take it. And my heart is just going to cave in.

I, in a completely non-trolling and sincere way, think the new Taylor Swift album is her best album. Other albums have better songs, but this is cohesively and thematically her strongest and most diverse collection. Except Cancelled. I don't care for that one. (although I think it fits the theme).

I released "Early Electroacoustic Works" last week. It's a collection of drone, noise, plunderphonics, and acousmatic works from 2010-2016. Give it a listen if you'd like!

I'm obsessed with the "new" version of "We Built This City". First "We flushed this toilet." Now "We quilt this city"... for toilet paper.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but I'm personally fascinated by the increasing likelihood of things like this happening. The commodification of 20th century culture.

U2 was called that because they thought there was a little guy inside the delay pedal who played everything a second and a half after the band did.

Three Studies for Baritone Saxophone and Electronics features my friend, Floris Van der Veken. He is very good at saxophone and also fun to hang out with.

If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend driving from NY to Oklahoma with a Belgian and letting him ask questions along the way.

Bandcamp Friday is over, but the record is still in the world! If you like noise, plunderphonics, drones, and field recordings, you might like this record. Listen for free or purchase for $7.

Jokes aside, I'm really excited to be putting this into the world. Putting this record together helped me to better understand my own musical journey.

I'm really proud of it. You can hear me develop my voice, but I also think the pieces stand on their own.

I hope you enjoy.

It's #BandcampFriday! Both Taylor Swift and I have new records. Mine is mostly plunderphonics, noise, ambient, field recording based soundscapes. Hers probably is not that. You can listen to/buy mine at the link below:

Eden is the right answer. Lemon Grass is also a go to spot. Pheobe's is more of an "old school" fancy place. If you're able to drive out of the city itself, The Craftsman in Fayetteville (about 10-15 minutes from downtown) is also amazing.

Good god I need the Democrats to be better at politics. If you can't figure out how to spin this, please leave politics and let smarter people take over.

Everyone has a 1-2 season TV show they sorely miss and not enough people knew about that you are always praising the heavens about.

What's yours?

Adele's cover of "To Make You Feel My Love" is a gold standard for me in explaining how different artists make different songs successful in different ways.

This feels like a super millennial take, but Iron & Wine's cover of "Such Great Heights" also feels like a standard of this exercise.

Say what you will about the younger generation, but my students use "AI like" as a derogatory term for shitty art.

I'm increasingly convinced this is a problem that will solve itself.

I think if you listen to a podcast with fake AI people saying AI generated words you are functionally dead, you are basically a phone to me at that point
