Who does this fixation on "accusing" every political opponent of disability actually benefit?
It's weaponizing ableism using the same assumptions that keep not evil people from having autonomy in their lives, and allow disabled people to face discrimination every day.

Other than capitalism, the biggest thing both parties can agree on is hating disabled people.
There are plenty of lovely people with dementia who aren't genocidal freaks actively trying to hurt minority groups.
Why not blame evil instead of sickness?
If he has dementia it's the least of the issues.

Yes. Projecting real or fake disability on a politician is the *main* thing people do to discredit them. Republicans did it to Biden until Trump was elected. Weird thing to focus on when dealing with such an open fascist, true or false.

I cannot stand any clothing that rests on the limb joints, I will not wear them. No shorts, no ankle socks, no sleeveless shirts, no shirts that reach down to the elbow.
In fact when I witness them on others, I feel confused to how they can possibly be comfortable.

Police will directly target those they see as vulnerable, the police are not gentle. They will pile on faked charges, they will brutalize and disable people, obviously sometimes kill people. People participating in any kind of action should weigh their risks and determine how to best partake.

People who organize that kind of stuff will say themselves it isn't safe for everyone to be a part of every kind of action. Especially if people are more likely to be directly targeted or further harmed by the police.
Like parents, undocumented people, disabled people.
It's okay to weigh the risks.

People expect the way my autism impacts me to be much less significant than it really is just because I can express my thoughts well in words.
I'm pretty significantly disabled really.
Sure I'm a wheelchair user but day to day it's probably my mental disabilities that impact me more.

This is not my experience as a trans person, which is why you shouldn't assume our experiences are all the same. I think I was supposed to be born male but I was treated like a female for so long that I have a unique perspective that I don't think other people understand.

Which is why cis people should avoid just tokenizing the narratives that confirm their pre-conceived ideas of what our lives should look like.

Sadly it's pushed by professionals constantly, many parents are actively pressured into it, told shit like "Your kids will never progress if you don't get them in ABA". Not uncommon for parents to be given a brochure for ABA upon diagnosis.
They've been actively misinformed.

As an autistic person, disruption of routine is one of the main things that makes us most distressed, so imagine just being snatched from your family like this. It would be distressing for anyone, but ESPECIALLY for a young autistic person.

A mom in Houston reported her 15-year-old son with autism missing. She spent 6 days terrified, searching for him. The whole time, Houston police knew exactly where he was since they helped ICE place him in a refugee facility.

This is beyond cruel.
