It’s strange how I loathe and endure so much work & hassle of printing, finishing, & sanding, for the joyous few minutes I get when painting my projects. Here is Tech’s helmet from season 1 of The Bad Batch. Files from the Galactic Armoury. Google and visor inserts to follow.

Alberta Finance Minister Nate Horner says the ATA's latest proposal to employers included class-size caps and would cost $2 billion more than the province is willing to spend over 4 years. He asked teachers for an offer more "rooted in reality." #AbLeg #AbEd

Obviously the Swastika is the worst thing, but the map labeling Canada as "SOON TO BE OHIO" doesn't thrill me either

Holy shit. This is Angelo Elia, a legislative correspondent for Congressman Dave Taylor.

According to @rooster.info, during a Zoom meeting today, he had an American nazi flag displayed in the background.

For anyone who wants to crow about nuclear instead of renewables, here ya go.
- more exp to build
- more exp electricity produced
- more carbon than renewable build
- more risks for cancer, long term waste, & nuclear weapons proliferation

Not worth the investment or risk.
mzjacobson.bsky.social
And here's a longer version of why new nuclear is useless for addressing air pollution, climate, or energy security.

There’s a laundry list of things that are subtle but important differences btn charter and public schools. Be careful if you go looking further into this that your sources are verified. There are some out there trying to gaslight us into making this about choice at the taxpayer expense.
geneanderson.bsky.social
Charter schools have to teach the AB curriculum, but they get to do things like deny a high-needs student with special accommodation requirements, off loading that to public schools which can’t deny someone with special needs. They also get to cap their classroom sizes, which the public can’t.

#CBC Alberta at Noon program with a guest representing (and defending obvs) private charter schools had me yelling at the radio. If you’re wanting a private choice for education, then YOU should be paying for it, not w/taxpayer $. I will vote yes on the petition to defund Alberta charter schools.

FTR, the world has always been mad (war, pestilence, famine, etc). Now that information is live streamed from everywhere 24/7, we just know about it in real time, compared to reading about it in the newspaper a week later. It’s always been this way, we just know about it faster.

The Premier of Alberta is up to her perpetually confused brow in scandals; the teachers are on strike and there’s no end to that in sight, we’re still waiting on the report about the procurement scandal …

The pipeline is THEATRE. It’s not real. It’s a distraction, and it’s a cover - that’s it.

Oh, #ableg & #cdnpoli

I hope you’ve all seen this. If not, you should.

Eby is 💯 correct. This “pipeline” is more Danielle Theatre. It’s a means to eventually blame BC & Ottawa for her gov’ts failure. It’s a means to distract from the AHS scandal. It’s pandering to her base.

IT. IS. NOT. REAL.

Danielle Smith loves to pick fights but if I were her I might have thought twice about picking one with a guy who is 6’7”, spits facts, and absolutely nailed the real reason she’s shilling for a pipeline.

I’m 100% certain that nation leaders who know the stakes also know the worst of climate change will be after their lifetime, or at least after their term, so why bother ending your political career fighting against something that happens later and you don’t personally benefit from? Selfishness IMO

Class size/composition is a strike issue.
