Half the problem with the Internet is not that it has allowed the enemies of certain social causes to be heard, but has let the proponents be heard. they are doing a bad job.
Reminder that almost half of those convicted in recent British anti-migrant "protests" (supposedly about the safety of women & children) had previous form for domestic violence. It was over 60% in Bristol - how high in Citywest? www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/uk-riot...
Almost half of convicted 2024 UK rioters 'previously reported for domestic abuse'
Though its argued that the UK riots of 2024 emerged from 'legitimate grievances', this data does little to support the claim.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.
I glanced down at the message.
“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.
So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Graham Carey, Dunsink Drive, Finglas, who's due to go to trial next year for incitement to hatred from February 2023 has sacked his legal team.

Vallvidrera, near Barcelona, has a curling club. Each season, the members of the club go to the local reservoir and toss a stone in to see if the ice is strong enough to play. Since the water never freezes, they go for brunch instead and raise the toast, ‘We shall play one day’.
A weird rabbit hole I've fallen down is Irish Peerages. There are way more Dukes & Earls of Irish estates knocking about than I thought, even if they're just in-name-only these days.
Like, there's an Earl of Cavan, which sounds like a slang term for someone who's particularly cheap.

I keep forgetting that English people add a phoenetic 'r' where there's a vowel. That's why I didn't get that name 'Shaun the Sheep' was a pun for a good 10 years.

Catherine Connolly never thanked the driver when she got off bus 10 years ago.
I saw Catherine Connolly watch an ambulance pass by and she didn't bless herself.
Catherine Connolly didn't raise her index finger from the steering wheel to acknowledge me when I pulled in to let her continue on!

Cognition is like strength. Use is required to not just gain, but maintain. The more thinking and cognitive work we offload, the duller we become as a result.
It's like deciding you'll use a mobility scooter without need and then figuring out a year later that you can no longer walk.
