tbf that missed strike call makes the strike 3 call worse because he’s seen that exact pitch more over the plate called for a ball, so you don’t expect that one to be a strike.

Was going to be the third time through the order in a batter; typically don’t want to be doing that because offensive stats go up a lot.

Going there at the #9 hitter gives the new pitcher a weaker hitter to adjust to first before facing the top of the order
