In the audience tonight is Charlotte Bennett, one of the 13 women that Andrew Cuomo is credibly alleged to have sexually harassed while they worked in his government.

She can't speak for herself because Cuomo's lawyers have hounded her.

whenever the jr/mid engineers express confusion or ask why something is the way it is in node/js land, I just always tell them “it’s this way because like 30 loudmouth cranks couldn’t get along between 2010-2016”

one of those things you learn living in Texas that is hard to explain to others: bbq does not need to be exciting or fancy, it just needs to be good. this is why most bbq in Portland is not great, they try to fancy it up too much

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

really a small problem given everything else going on, i know, i have the perspective. It’s still just demoralizing that people can’t even be this level of decent anymore and not let their pets destroy property. Seems like a small way to be a neighbor in this dark time

i really do not want to become the “smile you’re on camera” sign guy but like a quarter of the front yard is dug up by this mutt. I can’t just sit outside all day and watch and catch someone in the act of letting their dog do this. It’s frustrating and I feel like i have no recourse
