The reason you're seeing liberals come out of the woodwork lately to accuse leftists of "having a Nazi problem" is because they know that historically, it's always been liberals that made alliances with Nazis and fascists throughout the 20th century. Why? Because they feared socialism more.

Hello I'm an American Communist. I was against the Iraq War but then signed up to the army and did multiple tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. When Donald Trump was President I joined Blackwater and did mercenary work in Afghanistan. I also have a Nazi tattoo on my chest.

I think it's more important for US leftists to be aware of how your country impacts the rest of the world. President Graham Platner would be the exact same as Joe Biden and Donald Trump on Iran, China, NATO etc. I fear American leftists are becoming too focused on Israel as the only litmus test

Graham Platner was likely a Nazi when he got his Nazi tattoo. 3 years later on Reddit he said he wished he was alive in the 1920s to invade Haiti and Nicaragua, and wished he served between the 1960s-80 to fight in Vietnam, El Salvador and Nicaragua (the last two were run by fascists)

I think people need to remember with the Iraq War - people like Graham Platner even in terms of pure combat weren't fighting just Al-Qaeda. Literally just fighting random Iraqis who wanted the US out of the country. He says he enjoyed combat - he enjoyed killing normal people resisting occupation

also, how does Platner claim that he had no idea what a Totenkopf was or that his tattoo was one until a week ago when this Reddit conversation he was part of 6 years ago was all about a soldier with a Totenkopf where people discuss the difference between an SS Totenkopf vs. a Punisher skull etc.

Many soldiers still use the skull as an emblem (see the Punisher skull for the SEALs) or regiment emblems all around the world. It's a way of making others fear them and all.
Also I understand the reference btw.

Punisher is a kind of unofficial emblem and it's more something some individuals do. I've seen it more on civvy and moto stuff than on actual servicemen.

When I was in Ramadi in ‘06 as a Marine grunt, the SEAL platoon we worked closely with for the deployment all had the Punisher skull spray painted on their armor carriers.
There’s no question it’s far more prevalent on all the dumbass Grunt Style and Nine Line shirts these days, but the teams definitely adopted it for a while
