important note from libcrusher:

Reactivating temporarily to send a warning.
Since I got doxxed, it appears the same doxxing ring has targeted several other users. I learned that they were banned this week, only for Elon to, apparently, personally unban them. I feel obliged to warn everyone about my experience.

It wasn't just my personal information that got published. Someone, somewhere, got my passwords too. For my banking accounts, brokerage accounts, venmo, etc.
Most of which had different and unique passwords. All these attempts started the day i got doxxed, and have sporadically continued since.

If you know anyone who's been doxxed by this group, you need to have them change all their passwords on every website immediately. Ensure 2FA and any other security measures are in place everywhere.
And, wherever possible, document and report it. Frankly, if you're a lefty of any note, do it now too

If anyone was also a victim of this or knows someone who was, there are ways to reach me. I wish I could go into more details right now. But until that time comes, protect yourself.

I will be deactivating in 20 minutes.
Hopefully, that's enough time for the warning to get out.

Yeah, I stuck it out for a while post-Musk because I was there before he was, damn it! (my IRL account was from 2009 ☹️) but it just got worse and worse, & so did he, and then add to that things like changing Block so it was useless… nope, i’m not sticking around for more.

I got some weird comments back in spring basically accusing me/others of moving to Bluesky to provide cover for the fandom stalker or something? and honestly, if people want to believe that sort of thing then I'd rather they did just avoid me because Christ alive please stay away.

What the Twitter takeover did so effectively was fracture the way we get our news. If, for example, I want to get in-depth updates on Sudan I still check in with Twitter as that's where a lot of the biggest accounts are. There's no one-stop shop anymore.

Entirely reasonable! I loved Legends and read everything I could get my hands on until some time in the New Jedi Order era, then drifted away from it and was quite surprised to come back to SW years later to find out everything was decanonised and I had no idea what was going on any more, lol

haha, it is NOT going to happen. Though I do find it funny to imagine some guy informed entirely by YouTube ‘lore explainers’ thinking “FINALLY, a lore-accurate show!” and then sitting through an hour of ‘Of Beleriand and its Realms’ going “wtf is this, GCSE Geography? where’s the battle scenes?”
