This track shows that I still fuck with that Akira Yamaoka influence, especially his work on the 'Silent Hill' OST's obviously. You can hear it in the start/stop synths and the distorted radio-chatter.

oh btw if you guys liked Silent Hill f may I suggest Detention. It's by the same studio that made Devotion. It takes place during White Terror in Taiwan and has some really great horror elements from Taiwanese mythology.

Yeah, very true. I remember trying to make a Death Metal song 'Techno Maker XXL'. It was ridiculous sounding but it had vibes and as you say, memories attached to it.

This started life as an Akira Yamaoka inspired spooky joint which, while sounding cool enough, never felt complete. So while assembling tracks for the album I was like, fuck it, put a breakbeat underneath and make a proper song.

About the breakbeat, eh. It's just a sample. I want to be more creative with how I use breakbeats innthe future. Chop it up more, make it more unique. Not like breakcore levels but just to make it more my own.
