Only Tony Peña can complain, because he caught in a hurdler's stance, which is even lower than the one knee down.

I would pick Mark Langston or Billy Swift. There hasn't been a quality swing man for so many seasons in a long time.

My daughter would say Adam Jones, her favorite player ever. But, that's mean to Mariners fans.

Mariners fans, who (doesn’t have to be realistic lol) would you like to see throw out a first pitch this week?

The bad faith of the Netanyahu regime is confirmed once again. Has it even been 24 hours? They violated the agreement for aid and they breached by killing a half dozen Palestinians. With two material breaches immediately, it would seem like rescission.

NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

Just like the Grammys memorial reel, this article left out Guru of Gang Starr. He died in 2010 of multiple myeloma at age 48.

I’d been thinking for a while that it seems like a startling number of rappers have died in their mid-40s to mid-50s from natural causes but it didn’t really feel like an epidemic until I saw this list. 😦

When Prince died, D'Angelo went on the Tonight Show to perform Sometimes it Snows in April, a heart wrenching rendition. Please listen in memory of D'Angelo.

It looks like the original video is no longer on youtube. But, here is the recording.

Mike Johnson: It's Obama's fault that we can't repeal Obamacare.
Jake Sherman: "JOHNSON this AM: 'Can we completely repeal and replace Obamacare? Many of us are skeptical about that now, because the roots are so deep, it was really sinister, the way it was created. I believe Obamacare was created to implode upon itself, to collapse upon itself.'”

Can it be a grounded-into-doubleplay if the ball never touches the ground?
jayjaffe.bsky.social
From MLB Gameday: "Dodgers challenged (force play), call on the field was upheld: Max Muncy grounds into a double play, center fielder Sal Frelick to shortstop Joey Ortiz to catcher William Contreras. Teoscar Hernández out at home. Will Smith out at 3rd. 3 outs"
eugenefreedman.bsky.social
Very cool. So 1B went behind mound to be a cutoff to the plate and then retreated to 1B. 2B kind of wandered around near second. And 3B was in position. Contreras just was hyper conservative by running it to third.
eugenefreedman.bsky.social
Ok. I just saw the angle from the stands. The 3B was covering third. Contreras just decided to run the ball there to avoid a little league play in all of the chaos.
eugenefreedman.bsky.social
I'm not quite sure where all of the infielders went. Pitcher should be backing up the plate, but why would the 3B not be at 3B with so many runners on. I can imagine the 2B could be there if both SS and 3B go to the OF as cutoffs with 1B covering 2B. But, nobody at all was at third.

eugenefreedman.bsky.social
It's so fucking lazy. The Brewers have won their division 3 straight year. They have missed the playoffs only once after 2016. It's fine to say casual fans don't know who they are, but to say that about another team is asinine.
razzball.bsky.social
This gimmick sucks. Brewers are awesome; dodgers know them; let’s not be dumb
Brewers manager Pat Murphy: ‘I'm sure that most Dodger players can't name eight guys on our roster. No offense to them, they shouldn't have to know the names, but these are some guys that hopefully they know their names by the time it's over. You never know.’
