ICE is now the 13th largest military in the world on its own.

Rule of law is not in effect if they can violate your rights and then just lie about it
DHS just got caught telling multiple lies about federal agents shooting a US citizen multiple times

"In the U.S., the meat you eat each year could be responsible for a level of GHG emissions similar to what's emitted to power your house."

Besides emissions, there's the huge land use (precluding more beneficial uses), air/water pollution, water use, risks of pandemics & other heatlh risks, etc...
Center-right Democratic partisans say shit like this but fail to realize that their weak corrupt so-called liberalism is the fertilizer necessary for fascism to grow. A big tent is one thing, and necessary, but you can't let in people who make a career out of destroying the support poles.
Folks demanding political / ideological purity fail to see that this is no longer a movement belonging to the left / liberals. This is an opposition against fascism. By definition it must be big tent. Failure to grasp this: see divided oppositions in Eastern Europe as your failed examples.

Emmy Award-winning journalist Mario Guevara was a member of the Atlanta community for more than 20 years before ICE detained him for covering a protest.

On this episode of At Liberty, we discuss what his deportation means for the state of free speech.

After the floods, sickness follows.

In Pakistan, over 6 million people have fallen ill in temporary camps — dengue, cholera, malaria up 87%.

When the waters rise, disease comes with them.
This is what climate collapse looks like.

Highly recommend reading this whole thing but if you take away one thing, I'd recommend it be this bit as this is at the heart of why things are changing so fast.

"Batteries are doing for electricity what silos once did for grain: turning abundance into reliability."
Russia’s Coal Collapse Marks The End Of Fossil Fuel Post-War Illusion
Russia’s Coal Collapse signals the end of the fossil era. From bankrupt mines to battery booms, the global energy transition is accelerating but facing political resistance.

The bigger factor was turnout. Come on. This your first day thinking about elections? But yes, that's also the whole bigger point here. If you want to look at it through a partisan lens, Democrats have hit their ceiling with non-white voters. So taking them for granted was not wise.

NEW — Bill Nye, at "No Kings" in DC, on Gaza:
"There's something wrong when you have one country ruining, leveling another country…the whole thing just makes you furious."

"In the US, we had an agreement…we're going to leave religion out of our government. There's some value there, I think…"
Nope, not saying that at all, but go on...
That wasn't the assertion, it's just the system we have, and Trump won the popular vote so that doesn't help your assertion here. The point is just floating over your head waiting for you to look up i guess.
Narrow identity politics ignores the greater pyramid of modern exploitation. It comes off as a strange anti-Marxism, even if it's not. But this isn't anything personal.
Then start a revolution or deal with it. It is the reality for now.
Or you're just ignoring the problems you find it convenient to ignore. jfc what a circus.
Nah, just search 'electoral college' and 'swing states' and ask your social studies teacher tomorrow morning if you're confused about anything
Well, you understand the misunderstanding.
How often does this line work for you with your fellow whites? Honestly curious.
Oh? You can say that's just a distraction but when you factor in the crackdown on undocumented immigration and refugees and the international place the US consumer has in a global system of environmental destruction and exploitation, you see the traditional narrative gets glitchy.
