Nah. Probably just wants to spend more time with his family. (Lies to self to regulate nervous system)
Hmm… seems like a bad thing. Is this what’s causing my insomnia?
Pentagon reporters could be seen leaving the sprawling U.S. military headquarters with boxes after at least 30 news organizations declined to sign a new Pentagon access policy for journalists, warning of the potential for less coverage of the world's most powerful military.
He’s right, they say the worst stuff to each other. Especially when there’s not a leader around to say “that’s not appropriate here” and change the culture by force. I guess he’s not the kind of leader who’s up to that task.

I'd ask military service members to remember those civilians designated as essential and required to work alongside you will NOT get paychecks, and also have fewer resources available like leniency from banks, relief societies, etc.
Despite the government shutdown, paychecks will be going out to the U.S. military...and to the Coast Guard.

The administration has begun tapping funds from Trump’s tax breaks and budget law to pay for priorities during the shutdown, ensuring that the Coast Guard doesn’t go without paychecks.
Trump’s ‘big bill’ will help ensure Coast Guard salaries get paid

But I shouldn’t have. It was wrong!
Always here for you! Assessments have their place, and can be used smartly to identify issues and track progress. Throwing five at a new client when they could just talk to you instead is a lot.
Five assessments is four too many.
The problem with being a grass farmer is that you can’t eat your crops. We added a veggie garden in RI, it was fun and easy compared to other places we’ve lived.
You’re a gentleman farmer now.
Thanks for this! Peace and love to you today, and all the days, friend.

When I met that driver I said “how long have you been doing this?” Because I’m a friendly small talk kind of guy.

He said “this is my first time.”

Fun times!
I’ve had slow ones… I prefer fast. Rip that bandaid off!

We had a crew once that didn’t finish on loading day. Driver said he would have to come back in the morning (when we were clearing housing). Crew deserted him and I had to help load the truck.

I’ll be here all day with fun moving stories!
Sometimes it is, e.g., when you want to be really fancy.

Well that's not how appropriations work at all

If I hear 'keep your head down' from one more leader, especially a senior military I will scream in a primal maternal way.
Leadership and ethics matter most when they cost. No temptation, no honor.
Maybe. I'm more of a Hooker rebuilt the army that Meade uses to win kind of guy. Big transformation guy... like Eric!
Nice rock! I saw a cool rock in a shop window in Maine years ago. Big Temple of Doom vibes. I didn't buy it, and it still calls out to me in my dreams. I'm glad your rock is with you.
The list of CSAs since is just ok. Marty could probably top Eric but he wasn't in the seat long enough.

I also think Fighting Joe Hooker was the greatest general of the civil war, but that's an argument for early July when folks are gushing about Meade.
I like Eric because he seemed like a wise and good person, generally. Qualities we don't see in the right proportion with so many senior leaders. The beret was the worst idea ever. Maybe we can be at 99.5%
I think the Stryker was a good move toward transformation as an interim vehicle - from which we haven't been able to move past. The FCS and Objective Force failures might just be the cost of doing business in transformation... we got a bit consumed by GWOT as well.
