A thing I like about ads on other platforms (physical magazines, newspapers, tv) is they indicate the demographic they are catering to and are trying to attract. As well as give me insights into current consumerist trends.

My adware blockers are largely for security reasons, then for site readability reasons, and then due privacy reasons.

But I really don't mind advertisements, and would love to read ads from sites that don't have the above problems.
