ngl, I got so much more time and emotional capacity when I stopped giving a fuck about sports and every October I’m especially glad for this decision.
His fellow Nazis took him out of there, you mean?
Bro you made an account just so you can argue with a woman anonymously and be wrong?

your timely reminder that AGI is neither clearly defined/described nor amenable to scientific or engineering principles... it remains an ideology that is rooted in white supremacy, racism and eugenics
If we get through this with the capacity to make good tv shows, I want a series of Garak’s back story.
Unless it connects via cable… 🤔🤔🤔
I wonder if the Bluetooth alarm would basically act like a “speaker” to the phone but instead of playing a sound, just vibrated. That way native integrations won’t break.
Would/should it sync to your phone for ease of programming?
I know this because I’ve been here
It’s always YAML, never HOWAML 🥺🥺🥺
Not remotely close.

Signed, my 50 year old knees remembering how much better my knees felt at 42.
OH: “if I wanted to get gaslighted, I’d have asked ChatGPT”
Corey is very pro-AWS. The people, the services, the *concept*. He’s critical in when they fall short of his expectations for them, but to be clear: he absolutely wants AWS to grow and be successful.
Me, describing k-pop to one of my teammates:
“It’s just like regular pop, except in Korean, and with twice the racism and appropriation”
You can’t have a successful general strike without sufficient mutual aid to support those who are already in financially precarious situations.
This is not meant to be defeatist, just to remind people of the reality of the situation.
I hear a lot of talk about a general strike, and while I think it’s a great idea, this is not one of the countries with a social safety like others where you see successful general strikes. Frankly this is by design in order to keep the population from organizing.
Government subsidies because so many dudes in this country are unfuckable wasn’t on my bingo card

my woke take is that entirely too many people feel entitled to the benefits of a social contract while not feeling bound by the responsibilities of said contract
Thus why it’s important to slap every startup and product owner with the trout of building resilience in from the start because we know they won’t later on. 🙂🙂🙂
This is a big gripe of mine - optimizing for a single compute type if you don’t own your own compute is a fool’s errand.
And I know that sounds “hand-wavy”, but the answer is how you solve those issues is very situational. But having built such platforms in the past, most of the difficulty lies in designing the system, not maintaining it.
You’re describing whiteboard issues, though. Most of the difficulty lies in the architecture. Once properly architected, you have a framework for operations that the rest of your development follows. The truth is, you’re not actually hamstringing development unless it’s an afterthought.
Cops in the US could never *SERVE* and protect like this.
This photo accompanying a news story about the heist at the Louvre is perfection.
I’d be interested to hear those good reasons other than “it’s hard”.
It’s Monday, time for your low stakes takes.
Mine for today:

Lauryn Hill’s second verse of Everything Is Everything and Da Brat’s third verse on Not Tonight are top tier flows and don’t get the credit they deserve.
