So many new followers! Hiyaaaa! I'm Ed, a game director / writer / narrative designer living in London. I like RPGs, dumb humour, Coronation Street, and low culture. And thanks to the State of the Industry, I'm currently looking for work, freelance or on staff. More deets here!

Lovely to meet you Gina! Thanks so much, I'll definitely take a listen!
Also: hi! Amazing to meet you! I loved the PMA demo and vibe, that's awesome! I'll definitely listen to your stuff and be in touch :)
Oh yay! Yeah, it was so great to work with Sugimori, but it was so late in the process that there was almost zero time for iteration. But at the same time, the whole vibe of the game only came together when the music did. So this time, I want to start that process from day one.
Oh Luke, of COURSE you've done something amazingly helpful like this, like you always do. You're a diamond! Thank you!
Oh amazing! I've seen you host a panel at BAFTA before, but I've let my membership lapse so I haven't been able to go to the socials for a long time 😅

I'll definitely take a listen to your samples! ❤️
Thanks so much! I'll definitely take a listen and add you to my list :)
(sorry about the UK requirement - due to possible funding rules. Would still love to hear from you if you're not UK based in case that doesn't pan out!)
Help me, Bluesky! I'd love to find and chat to UK-based up-and-coming music composers for games - especially those who are as obsessed with the Japanese school of melody-focused game music as I am. Could eventually lead to a small paid gig and then maybe maybe more down the line. Spread the word! ❤️
I NEED to join this team
The Freddy Mercury hoovering display team were also a particular highlight...
I might be living off my savings at the moment, but I'm not going to pass up new merchandise for the GOAT FF
Yeah, I saw Weapons.
thanks so much!
I think there might be a rights issue with that 😅
I'VE HAD ANOTHER IDEA FOR A PICROSS GAME! Now I just need some money.
I quite like "Think Like a Game Designer" because a) it's relatively short and doesn't fuck around, and b) there's an audiobook.
Underwhelmed by the Nintendo Direct? Better get used to it, because this is the tip of the iceberg. When the real effects of the last 18 months of project cancellations and layoffs come home to roost next year, it's going to be way worse. Hope you like remasters!

You'd have to get through the utterly confounding first hour, which is abysmally tutorialled, but if you break through... doom awaits. "Just one more race!!!"
I made the mistake of playing Umamusume... and now I'm addicted. But there's some interesting narrative design here so, uh... it's research, right?

Got a heads up from a friend in Indiana: my book was removed from her school because it features a trans character.

But … it’s a nonfiction book. She’s not a character. She’s a person.

These lies, these wars, obscure the truth, and the humanity, and get what in exchange? Nothing but ignorance

Finally got around to finishing Gundam GQuuuuuuX. What a turnaround - those last six episodes were a compelling mash-up of Gundam and Evangelion. Just a shame that a) the first six were so aimless and b) it requires knowing the story of a cartoon series from the 70s to have the proper impact.
Also -- that person makes it very clear that they've never put their heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into a project that they've cared deeply about. Creating at that scale, at that length, is all-consuming. You don't just STOP, you grieve. Even if it goes well, you grieve when it's over! Ugh.
