When the Supreme Court struck down Biden's policies, it was tempting to think: "At least these limits on executive authority will bind Trump if he comes back into office." But no—the court's skepticism of executive power vanished on Jan. 20, 2025. This dynamic is obvious to anyone paying attention!

It is pretty galling that the Supreme Court spent four years telling Biden "you can't do that without Congress" then allowed Trump to seize a once-unthinkable amount of power from Congress within nine months and concentrate law-making authority almost entirely in the executive branch.

A Star Trek parody comic where we open on the Not Enterprise orbiting a planet. We cut to the interior, where --on the view screen-- two aliens are having an argument. "Your forehead wrinkles are bad!" "No, YOUR forehead wrinkles are bad!" We then go to a shot of the Picard stand-in looking at the screen, saying "Gentlemen, gentlemen. Please..." In the final panel, we get a reveal of Not Picard basically doing the Handsome Squidward face, with his forehead all wrinkled up. Behind him, in the background, various crewmembers are doing the same. We end on the line "--ALL wrinkles are beautiful."

71% of immigrants detained by ICE have no criminal convictions.

These are mostly private, for-profit prisons that put their bottom lines over health and safety. We see the results — immigrants are dying. It is absolutely outrageous.
