Oh shit wait i figured out the actual one that happens a lot: older women in my life will often make jokes when I talk about transitioning like, "so when does the manspreading start" or like "how long do you have to be on T before you start interrupting women." it is genuinely so hurtful.

Cis People in my family, friend group, and spiritual community have been awesome throughout my transition. But they don't know what trans people are experiencing right now, and I have to be the one to tell them when they ask me how I'm doing. Its always a shock. WHY? Are you living in a box?

Also a lot of cis people seem to operate under the idea that the moment you say you're a man you suddenly get access to unqualified male privilege. For example they think that because cis men make more money than cis women, if someone transitions to a man they just automatically make more money

The one I've heard the most is cis women saying some variation of "I hate men, except you because you don't count"
They mean it as a compliment but it makes me feel gross every time

Big picture, if this needs explaining to any cis folks unaware: Trans men tend to be ignored and erased from the media coverage even of trans people. Trans women tend to be over-covered and in negative ways that are familiar I'm sure to many ...
