Trump claims ICE’s reign of terror in Chicago is targeting the “worst of the worst.”

But out of the 1,000 undocumented immigrants that have swept up, the agency has only cited 10 men with a criminal background.

Don’t believe his lies for a second.

Trump says migrants drive violent crime in Illinois. But ICE can’t find many violent criminals.
Masked ICE agents and other federal forces showed up in Chicago to go after gangsters. Instead, they keep catching people who are just living their lives.

We need to have deeper conversations about white feminism within the trans community and the harm it causes to our movement and our people because holy shit.

I don't fall myself into isms or into political teams. All I want is universal healthcare.

I only want to fight for ALL trans people. I want us to have access to affordable, if not free, gender-affirming care, regardless of socio-economic class.

And yes, that includes designer vaginas.

To so many people, Miss Major was the first grandmother to love them for who they are & who they must fight every day to be. She was our anchor, and she didn't care who was in the room; she always spoke truth to power.

Not going to lie, this grief is tough. But I know her legacy will be forever.

Rest in Power Miss Major.

I was so fortunate to profile Miss Major for SF Weekly.

From her political education from the leaders of the Attica prison uprising and getting knocked out by a cop at Stonewall to performing in the Jewel Box Revue and founding TGIJP, she led an extraordinary life.

We honor the legacy of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a fierce protector of our collective freedom. Our hearts are with her loved ones and all who carry her vision forward.

An illustration of Miss Major surrounded by candles with blue background and a famous quote of hers written in gold. The quote reads“I don’t need their permission to exist; I exist in spite of them. I want you to train and teach and love on and create families within my community and gender non-conforming people, so that we can understand that we have a culture, we have a history, we have a reason to be here. We have a purpose. We’re entitled to be loved, and seek happiness, and share that with the people that we care about.” -Miss Major Griffin-Gracy

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

I think the counter argument to “Ellison and Weiss will turn CBS News into an unstoppable propaganda machine” is Bezos’s WaPo which lost basically all the talent and also is in a subscription death spiral

Israeli settlers continue to wage war on Palestinians in the West Bank and elsewhere. They are breaking into people's homes, stealing their stuff, trashing their homes and sometimes kidnapping and killing people. This is happening NOW. People should know this.

All the years I've lived in Manhattan we have never had door knockers from campaigns. Takes a lot of drive to hit all the buzzers at an apartment building and come upstairs.

Polite, informed volunteers. This campaign is out in full force.

I'm late to the Hasan and his dog, Kaya situation. But I think every person of color who has a dog probably has experienced being accused of animal abuse by white people (especially white women) and can see through this bullshit.

Hi Sally. When Weiss published a supposed expose on the death of George Floyd, a veteran criminal justice reporter showed in deep detail that the piece was not just wrong but filled with falsehoods and misrepresentations. Weiss did not retract the piece. What do you think of that?

Nobody wants it as a story but I have multiple NYPD sources who voted for Mamdani, are eager for his win in November, and who say their colleagues quietly feel the same.

They like that he wants NYPD to focus on crime, not quality of life enforcement.

Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?
A tweet from Bari Weiss that says “"It's shaken me to my core," a lieutenant said of Mamdani's unexpected victory in June. "The absolute dread I feel is palpable.

My words for National Coming Out Day 💜🌈
October 11, 2025 at 12:59 PM
As a person who went through the bisexual she/her- she/they- they/she- they/them-they/he- (and some days) queer AF he/him pipeline, I believe that my coming out has been a cyclical and spiritual experience.
Every day, I find ways to explore what gives me the most peace beyond the restrictions imposed on us since we were babies.
As a trans immigrant, coming out and transitioning is a decolonizing process.
Colonial violence came with binary restrictions of gender; when before, androgyny and queerness had an established place within the community, and in some communities, genderqueer people were regarded as holy. As a trans immigrant, coming out and transitioning is a decolonizing process.
Colonial violence came with binary restrictions of gender; when before, androgyny and queerness had an established place within the community, and in some communities, genderqueer people were regarded as holy.
As a trans survivor, coming out has also been a place of healing. I've experienced abuse in an environment that made it known that my body wasn't my own. After the hospitalization a few years ago, I decided to come out fully. And it was a healing experience. For the first time, in my thirties, I learned to trust myself and accept that I am a trans man. Nothing was more healing to me as a survivor than getting top surgery and taking HRT. I share this because it's been hard the last few months. Seeing politicians who not only dehumanize trans people, but also dehumanize immigrants and survivors.
Sharing these identities made it hard for me to trust the communities I am a part of when I find that all of my experiences of violence are interconnected.
Abandoning one community over another goes against who I am, and I hope more people can see that.
So for National Coming Out Day, I only want to dream and hope for a day without these systems of violence. That all of my people are free. So that people from places like Gaza, Congo, Sudan, Myanmar, and Ethiopia are free from violence. That there is So for National Coming Out Day, I only want to dream and hope for a day without these systems of violence. That all of my people are free. So that people from places like Gaza, Congo, Sudan, Myanmar, and Ethiopia are free from violence. That there is universal health care, so no one's health care is up for debate. That immigrants can be supported with dignity and respect. And maybe when folks hear a different language than their own, it is celebrated and not demonized. And that abolition will prevail.
Today, all I want to think about is love.
Happy National Coming Out Day
