Donald Trump is telling his DOJ to prosecute people involved in defeating him in 2020. He will claim the 2025 California referendum was fraudulent. He is going to try to impose voter ID and ban mail-in and early voting for 2026.

I will do everything I can in the courtroom and in public to stop him.

Last night in Portland, Portland city council person @candaceavalos.bsky.social woke up to her car and home on fire from suspected arson. She has been a target of the far-right for months, by people like Andy Ngo, who has admitted on court record that his posts targeting people can lead to violence.

Avalos @candaceforpdx has released a statement in support of the violent Antifa felony suspect charged with hurling a rock at a federal agent's head, seriously injuring him.
Robert Hoopes' supporters have mobilized the support of the far-left on the city council, raising questions about how fit they are to serve office if they support people accused of engaging in violent insurrection against the U.S. government.
Hoopes family is part of the @fgcquaker religious community and they claim he is nonviolent and peaceful. He was quickly released without bail despite the seriousness of the felony charges.

Times are a little tough, money is short but I have a job and can pay my rent even it is a little late. That said, I see entirely too many people who can barely buy food for themselves and it upsets me. This should not be happening.

This really hit me in the face when Hasan Piker was talking about him and said he had debates scheduled with Kirk before he was killed. We know what people like Charlie Kirk are going to say, they hold no surprises for anyone, so the idea is to use leftists as an agent to help spread their words.

I'm not especially invested in the DCU, but I'm curious about LANTERNS on HBO. I really like the idea of obscuring the sci-fi elements at the beginning, but making them more prominent as the show goes along. It's kind of like when many of us thought that True Detective was going to go supernatural.

Once again, the main day of Tea Party protests had about 300,000 nationwide, but saw endless coverage.

The No Kings protests had about 7,000,000 nationwide, and many media outlets reacted with a yawn.

No Kings was nearly 25x as big as the Tea Party but the Tea Party got 25x the attention.

And yes, if you're not familiar with giallo films but your mind moved to Basic Instinct, you got it. Basic Instinct is an American giallo. The main difference is that the male lead would probably not be a cop in an Italian giallo, but an amateur detective (maybe a book critic).

One of the reasons I love gialli is b/c of stuff like a scene in Umberto Lenzi's EYEBALL where Ines Pelligrini's character accuses her girlfriend (played by Mirta Miller) of murder based on nothing but the latter having previously shown affection for a soon-to-be female murder victim.
