Having had to source the Fawlty Towers theme for a project, I'm genuinely annoyed at how many recordings out there are a bad soundalike.

I'm not sure whether to be flattered or ashamed at it getting me spot on. If nothing else, it's an insight into how these age verification algorithms work

I quite agree on the UI, to know those are "show without warning" "show with warning" and "don't show at all" isn't clear.

This is very sad news. I think Tony’s appearance as Ensor in Blake’s 7 was the first time I became aware of him, and then a few years later he was really excellent as one of the main characters in the first series of Geoff McQueen’s Big Deal.

No wonder Cathy Dennis slagged him off in that Britney Spears song

Following my star turn as support to the pop band Spray this weekend, I've decided to stop all my obscure nonsense and made "Middle-Aged Teenage Angst" a proper Top 40 show. Come hear the hits - Tuesday at 8pm on @noiseboxradio.com

Last night's technical problems have been fixed! NACUS has tied the two ends of the broadband cable together and wrapped tape around them, so you can hear this week's Brand New Beats at 7pm tonight, ahead of the regular schedule of Middle-Aged Teenage Angst and Off The Chart! noiseboxradio.com/

Literally this Saturday just gone. I may also have openly choked and muttered "Piss off" combing through their knitwear.

Ah, fuck no.

What a legend. His work made me want to be film poster designer (not that I was ever talented enough to do it).

There's a very good chance your favourite movie poster was drawn by him.

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

A massive loss 💔

Crikey!
(Worth noting a few of the Australian Fremantle media distributors are now reissuing a number of the Network products). This could probably screw them over though. Much as some find it abhorrent, SD on Blu-ray is probably a better bet to just get the SKU size down.

I've just seen a collector of US Gameshow masters and pilots apparently previewing a version of Opportunity Knocks, of all things! Dave Coulier hosting, so at least they kept the slimy Canuck side of the format intact.

ITV Studios don't seem to do exclusivity deals on anything they own any more, which would explain Rising Damp. What I find fascinating is how many of these are clearly using the masters Network prepared, albeit broadcast quality.

Given the naming pattern, I presume the original intention was "TJ Jones", but given TK Maxx is TJ Maxx elsewhere, and even now TJ Hughes has name recognition beyond the grave, there's clearly been a lot of effort to come up with a name so crap.

The only phone numbers I know by heart anymore:

- mine
- my wife’s
- my landline number from when I first moved to LA
- my childhood home
- a Philadelphia community helpline that advertised on local TV with the jingle “CALL for ACT-ION! GREENwood SEVen five THREE one TWO!”

Some news I'm excited to share: I'm telling the Malenko family story in cooperation with Joe & Dean Malenko.

From Boris's heat-seeking territory days to Joe's journey with Karl Gotch & Dean's mastery of the craft—the definitive story of wrestling's first family of "shooters."

One last push: if you HAVEN'T reviewed the EMD demo yet please do, as it'll massively help us out with Next Fest tomorrow. Downloads and reviews get us prominence, apparently.

If you HAVE reviewed it, you're a shining example of the very best type of Terranoid, well done. Big star ⭐

The Steam reviews for the EARTH MUST DIE Demo have certainly taken an unusual turn. We get an altogether better class of reviews here at Size Five Games

store.steampowered.com/app/4057540/...
Steam review: This game doesn’t merely ooze with charm — it secretes it, thick and slow, from pores that shouldn’t exist. Each surface trembles as if beneath it, something vast and unseen squirms and breathes. The charm is alive here, a sentient fluid that remembers older, wetter worlds. It seeps between pixels, whispering through the code in languages not meant for lungs.

It pulses beneath the menus like veins beneath translucent flesh, its rhythm too steady to be human. Sometimes the charm glistens with a light that isn’t reflection, a phosphorescent shimmer like the soft wink of something watching from the dark. When you play, it reaches back — not maliciously, but hungrily — tasting you through the buttons and wires.

And when you close it, you’ll feel it still. In your fingertips. In your teeth. In the soft, wet corners of your dreams.
