The thing about the Japanese PS1 library is its depth is beyond comprehension. Did you know there's an open-ended school sim with a fully explorable campus, dating mechanics, and God Hand-style customizable combat? I didn't until two years ago, it's called Fire Woman: Matoigumi, and it RULES, dude.

Taking part in the school's occult club as an after school activity while Kana, one of Matoigumi's many romanceable girls, watches on.

A brief interlude screen shown between in-game school weeks, when the player character goes out on dates and hangs out with friends. In this instance, he's out to see a movie with Reiko, the high school prefect.

A meeting with baking club head Honoka in the school's home economics classroom.

A turn-based combat encounter taking place during a school play. The player's moveset is completely customizable across the four face buttons, as well as L1 and R1. Each side selects four moves before each round and then unleash their moves simultaneously, with the player ideally able to cancel out the enemy AI's attack strings to get the upper hand.
