I am admittedly very resistant to bureaucracy in general, but yeah, in this instance it is just straight up the government trying to control people and it is a very bad and hard to enforce idea. Like, damn, I won't download the Dice tickets app on my phone, they still have to let me into gigs!

I am annoyed that I even know about that stupid garlic scented book stunt now, because they're evidently just trying to rage-bait people with it to promote the book, and it's evidently working. Not that I'll remember the book, or author, or ever buy one. So who knows if it'll translate into sales.

You should be concerned about the rate of authors leaving publishing. Especially from marginalized communities. This year I have seen so many authors just pack it up and go. And it's only getting worse.

Saw Moth Slut at the Star & Garter last Friday and it was phenomenal, like being transported back to 2002. I hadn't been to that venue for 22 years & it was EXACTLY the same, and the band are a billion times better live than recorded (and they are damn good recorded!) youtu.be/ZmUUdqH47Ks?... #goth

I feel like I shouldn't keep /everything/ but also realistically I'm not gonna amass as much from now on because everything is digital (😢) so if I only end up with twice the amount of boxes I have now by the time I'm old, then that's not too bad a paper hoard 😅 (Let's just not mention photos 😅)

I love them so much! I have such fond memories of waiting for them to arrive in the post, then tucking them into a picture frame so I could see them every day and look forward to the event. I get so excited for a physical ticket now!

ticket stubs post-event, but looking back through all the lovely holo-printed gig ticket stubs I've kept from 1994 onwards is so nice (gonna put them all in an album) and I'm really quite sad that you don't get printed tickets now and even if you did print them it'd just be a QR on printer paper 2/

In the ongoing gargantuan task of sorting and storing nearly 50 years of letters and cards, one of the biggest things that has struck me is that not only do I miss exchanging handwritten letters, I also REALLY miss gig tickets. I know digital is better for the environment and most people just bin 1/

The BBC is doing an incredibly in-depth interview with someone talking about the Israeli hostages. I'm glad they will be freed, but why are we not hearing anything about the Palestinian hostages held by Israel, some of whom are children and medics?
