That is why I always note my adoptee status on these forms to tell the practitioners/systems they knowingly ignore my medical situation created by legal discrimination baked into state laws (for domestic adoptees--and more complex for intercountry adoptees). I've done this for freaking decades!

As a reminder to those who know nothing about denied legal, medical, and human rights to millions of #Adoptees by law, when we seek basic medical care, we're asked to fill out forms related to medical visits. From my COVID shot today. These forms insult us/ignore our denied rights by law.

Most are on scene within 15 minutes of being alerted via the group’s hotline." That is remarkable organization. The people who face the threat know "what's what."

Hispanic Heritage Month is about to end in the USA. It was much less active in NW Oregon this year. I've attended events that filled the plaza by the MODA center, which had multiple live bands from all over, corporate sponsors, and thousands of families. Not in 2025. www.opb.org/article/2025...
