It would be set in a single era for the initial purchase. My go-to would be Next Generation as this covers voyager, ds9 and lower decks in one go.

Then you can buy expansions to get TOS, kelvin etc.

The best Startrek Online game wouldn't be a traditional MMOG format, but rather a peer to peer experience.

You create a starship (game server) and any number of junior characters.

You can spend time in your ship just doing cosy stuff like maintenance puzzles, side quests and so forth.
