I feel like every scene I draw for Gilt is a real struggle and I am never satisfied, but then I put the character sprites over my WIPs and seeing them hanging out in that world makes me happy.

7 days downtime due to dropbox. have ordered a 4Tb drive to try and back up what is synced locally tomorrow before erasing it and reinstalling it at their request. though most of my data is local, many of my photos and really old files are only on db. so stressful!

have bought the full dropbox extraction kit:
- a 4TB drive to hold all its data
- a NAS
- two 8TB one redundant, to hold all my archive data, of which i have about 7TB (will get two more when i can find a good deal to expand)
- i'm looking at backblaze for offsite as it's cheap and suits quite well

I just learned illustrator David R. Darrow has passed away. He painted covers for FTL's Dungeon Master and SunDog. Unfortunately, his website has gone dark, but you can read a lovely interview with him and see some behind-the-scenes pictures at the link below.

rip to a legend. the DM cover art is permanently etched into my brain <3
FTL Games artist David R. Darrow passed away in May 2025. He was known to gamers for illustrating the box art for Dungeon Master as well as for FTL's first game Sundog. He also did extensive work for Hollywood films
